Adult mystery books

Fantasy books, especially the Adult mystery books are an all time favorite of all fast growing youngsters. There are many kinds of books available these days such as printed books, e-books, historic books, fiction books and non-fiction books. Fiction books take you to the fantasy land whereas non-fiction books familiarize you with the real world.

There are many types of non-fiction books as well such as autobiographies, biographies, diaries, history books, literary criticism, journals and user manuals but we will talk about young adult non fiction books.

Young adult non fiction books

In young adult non fiction books also there are different kinds; you can get non-fiction books with or without picture but today’s generation is more into picture books. One of my favorite non-fiction books is I Am America (And So Can You!), written by Stephen Colbert. It is an amazing book on the around the fictional life story of Stephen Colbert.

Another category of books for me is adult mystery books. Adult mystery books are an all time friend of a young teen. There is hardly any young reader who has not heard the names of Enid Blyton, Mark Twain, Louisa May Alcott or J.R.R. Tolkien; they are known for their contribution towards mystery books.

In adult mystery books the protagonists are usually between the ages of 12 to 15 years. Hence the young readers can easily identify oneself with the main character. Detective stories, crime or supernatural mysteries might be a part of adult mystery books.

Now is the time for young adult literature books, another favorite of today’s teen. American Library Association (ALA) defines a young adult as “someone between the ages of twelve and eighteen”. So as per this definition young adult literature books can be defined as texts written for the ages of twelve and up.

A wide array of themes is used in young adult literature books such as identity, sexuality, science fiction, depression, suicide, familial struggles etc. etc.

The culture that surrounds and absorbs young adults plays a huge role in their lives. So being a responsible resident it is our duty to give positive material to our young generation.
