The word ‘psychology’, has been derived from the Greek word ‘psyche’, meaning mind or soul and hence you will find all psychology reference books describing about the connection between the two.

As a subject, psychology describes an academic and clinical subject concerned with reason and emotion, conscious and unconscious mental processes.
